Angeline Era has no fixed route — this is a flexible progression framework, from your first search of the overworld to the gates of Throne.
How long to beat
Main story: roughly 12-15 hours if you follow the questline. 100% completion (Artifacts, all 9 Bicones, Scales) lands around 25-30 hours — no difficulty-gated achievements, the grind is hidden-level hunting. Checklist on the Collectibles page.

Chapter 1
Learning to Bump
Starting area of the overworld
1Walk into enemies to attack — then learn the real lesson: your approach angle decides who takes damage.
2Practice wall crits: bump an enemy into a wall for a critical hit and stun.
3Search every nearby map square — levels are hidden in plain sight.

Chapter 2
Carving Your Path
The open overworld
1Beat levels to earn Scales and level up; each clear also unlocks routes to nearby squares.
2Mix action levels with exploration-and-lore levels — both push you forward.
3There is no set route: if one direction feels too hard, explore another.

Chapter 3
Towns & the Food Economy
Towns of Era
1Find a town and learn the rule: save points do not heal — food does.
2Stock up before long trips, but do not hoard: unused food expires into compost.
3Spend level money on supplies; check rooftops and back streets for hidden content.

Chapter 4
Artifact Hunting
Dungeons, mountains and mines
1Clear trap-filled ruins and mines to find artifacts: the block device, water bubble and more.
2Pick up subweapons — gun, grenades, landmines — and learn their drawbacks.
3Revisit old squares with new traversal tools; many secrets need an artifact to reach.

Chapter 5
The Nine Bicones
All of Era
1Track down the nine Bicones hidden in levels across the overworld.
2Fight the bosses guarding your path — expect duels, swarms and rule-breaking arenas.
3Remember: level 11 is the soft cap. Skill and artifacts matter more than grinding.

Chapter 6
Breaching the Storm
The storm & Throne
1With nine Bicones in hand, stock up on food and approach the storm.
2The final stretch becomes linear and surreal — follow the story to Throne.
3After the credits, boss rush mode unlocks for those who want to master Bumpslash.
